Rende Progress Capital (RPC) is a racial equity focused Loan Fund and an emerging Community Development Financial Institution promoting economic equity to Excluded Entrepreneurs [African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian-American, Native American and Immigrants who face barriers to conventional lending due to bias and other market realities] through racial equity commercial lending to their businesses.  RPC integrates practices of inclusion, racial equity and cultural competency into our financial services and programs for Excluded Entrepreneur borrowers.

Manager for Business Development and Engagement

The Rende Progress Capital (RPC)  Manager for Business Development and Engagement is responsible for cultivating and engaging Excluded Entrepreneurs of Color for RPC loan readiness, providing pre-loan readiness and loan service wellness and improvement counsel to such entrepreneurs, and engaging in partner relations with Entrepreneurial Service Organizations [ESOs].  Excluded Entrepreneurs are African-Americans, Latino, Asians, Native Americans and Immigrants who face barriers to conventional lending due to real or perceived racial bias.

 

As Manager for Business Development and Engagement for an emerging Community Development Financial Institution [CDFI], the position has lead authority and leadership in the following areas: 

 

[1] Direct external engagement and outreach to non-customer Excluded Entrepreneur of Color businesses for purposes of engaging them as potential loan applicants/customers;

 

[2] Providing select non-customer Excluded Entrepreneur of Color businesses with pre-loan readiness counsel and training to prepare them as RPC loan applicants;

 

[3] Providing current customers with loan service wellness and improvement counsel to strengthen their RPC loan performance.

 

[4] Direct external engagement, partnership development and relationship maintenance with local and regional ESOs for the purposes of developing and enhancing loan referrals to RPC and joint financing of businesses of color.

Portfolio Manager

RPC is pleased to announce and post this exciting opportunity and position of Portfolio Manager.  For those interested in joining the RPC team as a team leader, portfolio management and the Portfolio Manager position are important, impactful and fulfilling responsibilities for our loan portfolio performance, health, risk-management and success of our Excluded Entrepreneur of Color small business loan customers.  The position manages the loan portfolio to ensure:

1.    That the RPC loan portfolio is managed with financial due diligence and optimal performance through monitoring of loans to RPC Excluded Entrepreneurs of Color.  Excluded Entrepreneurs are African-American, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian and Native American owned businesses who face barriers to conventional lending due to real or perceived racial bias and other market realities.

2.    That RPC conducts authentic, open and culturally competent relationships with customers in matters of risk management and risk mitigation matters with loan customers.

3.    Engagement in portfolio management learning/training and portfolio management responsibilities in order to independently conduct portfolio financial/risk-management [pre and post-lending] and racial equity step analysis of loan applicants and borrowers and analyze loan underwriting, restructuring and modification of loans.  Also, will lead the review and analysis of all originated loans and underwriting produced by the loan officer in order to ensure the quality of the loan officer’s memos, the loan deal adherence to loan policy, research and analysis of loan applicants and reporting on the performance of the overall loan portfolio.
